I am Aurélie, almost 40 years old, in a relationship with my lover for 15 years and we are parents of 4 children.
Lenni 14 years old, Emmy and Charli our 11 year old twins, and the youngest Billi 3 years old.
We live in the South of France, more precisely in a small village in the Var!
With the arrival of Billi I decided to become a stay-at-home mom and I fully thrive in this role despite all the complexity that it can entail.
I am very attracted to child development, education, and everything related to the world of childhood.
Before being a stay-at-home mom, I opened an online store, a small fashion and decoration concept store for children, I have always tried to find original items, French creations and brands and many artisanal creations. This is how I discovered My Dream Cabin, a real favorite!
What is your biggest dream ?
I'm going to talk about my biggest dream as a woman and mother, which is to travel around the world with my children!
I love travel, discovery and the emotions that we discover in the face of the unknown and the immensity of the world, it's something that allows me to feel alive and well anchored in the world!
We are used to going on a camper van with the children, last year 6 weeks in Norway, Denmark, Netherlands...,
This year 2 months in England, Scotland and Wales still in a camper van and in 2024 we are aiming for the backpacking road trip in Asia!
A place where you like to be with your family?
The place where I think everyone feels good is at home in our house!
We like to stay at home, everyone does what they want or we do things together, it doesn't matter but we feel very good there, like a cocoon.
We bought this house in 2010 and have since completely modified and transformed it, a passion for wood and decoration, a DIY enthusiast and our house looks like a real little wooden cabin!
What are the little everyday pleasures that you like to share with your family?
We are a really united family, the 6 of us really enjoy spending time. Having 2 out of 4 children with health problems has led us to surpass ourselves as parents and to all adapt, this allows us to brought together and strengthened our bonds, we communicate a lot with the children, they all know what is happening within the family and we trust each other. Even if the big 3 are entering adolescence, there is a lot of respect and love. Every evening the 6 of us eat at the table, it's something very important for us.
With my daughter and the youngest, we will enjoy cooking together, the children often craft with their dad and we like to make films when Billi is napping or in bed! Very simple stuff actually!
We would like to know your secrets/tips for managing your daily life as parents. Any little rituals to share with us?
Our biggest secret and the greatest strength of our family: it's our relationship! I don't know if it's very original but for us it's what saves our daily life with 4 children.
We are truly a close couple, friends/lovers and we never argue, we have a lot of respect and admiration for each other and are in agreement with the education of our children. It's a real strength because the children feel it and we both cope with the difficulties of life!
If not for the little tips, I would say to establish precise and clear limits with the children, to hold family meetings to expose and discuss problems or new rules, to try to share even short moments with each child, to communicate a lot and our secret weapon is: HUMOR!
For us, humor is inseparable from our education, we like the 2nd degree and teasing children, it helps to de-dramatize certain situations and keep a good mood every day!
What future do you want to offer your children? What values do you want to pass on to your children?
Honestly, we are not parents who like to make plans for the future, we are more anchored in the present.
Our son Charli, 8 years old at the time, had to fight against cancer in 2020, which means that it calls a lot of things into question, an awareness about life.
So no, I don't expect anything and don't want to offer them anything other than giving them the taste of living their lives to the fullest, as they wish and want.
My greatest success as a parent is that my children feel free to do and be who they want and if I also manage to pass on to them a taste for travel and adventure I would have succeeded in everything!

How do you know Ma Cabane à Rêves?
Ma Cabane à Rêves and me is the story of a lovely Instagram encounter. When I opened my online store more than 5 years ago, I was looking for new, original brands in the children's world.
I wanted creators not yet known on the market with a very distinct and recognizable universe, I fell under the spell of My Dream Cabin!
Since then I have met Amandine the founder and we have continued to communicate together for over 5 years.
I take great pleasure in seeing the brand grow and evolve constantly.
What do you like about Ma Cabane à Rêves and why?
What touches me the most about Ma Cabane à Rêves is that the brand is aimed at the whole family. This is real strength!
Parents and children can have a great time around the paintings and magnets that Amandine offers.
Varied themes with magnificent illustrations are offered, everyone can find themselves through the products of Ma Cabane à Rêves.
I like the soft colors used, and the brand is constantly developing new products that fit perfectly into the interior of our homes.
If you had to name 3 brands that you love above all else?
This is a really difficult question, the world of childhood is so vast, it would be simplistic to name only 3 brands.
I am very attached to craftsmanship, so brands that manufacture wooden toys or decorations, for example, in an artisanal way and in France, attract me much more!
For clothes I will be sensitive to the material used, comfort and style, Spanish brands like Bobo Choses or Tinycottons with strong and colorful pieces have my preference but I remain very sensitive to young French brands who are trying to make a name for themselves. place on the children's fashion market!
And of course My Dream Cabin remains in the top 3 in terms of fun and educational materials for children!!!!
If Ma Cabane à Rêves had to develop the children's product of your dreams, what would it be?
Construction site and construction equipment magnets!!! My 3 year old son is a fan, and I'm sure this would be a big hit with a lot of kids.
There are already some, just like animals, but with the poetic illustrations and soft colors of My Dream Cabin, it could be a great idea!
Would you recommend our products with your eyes closed? For what ? Whose ?
