Hello !!
My name is Mathilde and I am the mother of Cony, 4 years old, and Zola, 2 years old. Currently undergoing renovation, we live in a small cabin at the foot of the mountains in Alsace.

Your wildest dream that you would like to realize as a family?

It’s being able to take them to New Zealand. We spent a year there before having the children, and I loved this little country. It would be a joy to be able to introduce it to them.

I am a family photographer and for brands in the world of childhood.

I work instinctively while having notebooks full of notes and sketches of crazy ideas. I like to document real life, whether mine or that of others, capturing the incredible moments of everyday life with a good dose of color.

I also like to create particular universes, aesthetic atmospheres, and then let people evolve freely in these spaces.

What are your little pleasures in life shared with your two loves?

We have a fairly slow lifestyle, respecting the rhythm of the children. Our little pleasures consist of taking the time to do things together, even if it takes longer or is more restrictive, because we enjoy being together.

What I love is watching the birds through the window with them, while we are still under the covers.

I like toy games that can have several uses and especially where children can invent their own rules. Free play leaves plenty of room for experimentation, intuition and
mental construction, and it is as important as guided game activities.

Can you tell me three advantages that you see in using Ma Cabane À Rêves products with your children? And three disadvantages?

3 advantages:

  • super easy to transport;
  • minimalist, space saving game so great for small spaces;
  • Evolving, at each age the experience evolves


3 disadvantages:

  • lose them here and there, when will the little Ma Cabane À Rêve storage pouch come out? 😆
  • does not resist the terrible bites of a teething toddler;
  • Addictive ! We want lots of them, everywhere!!

My magical secret is the sandwich panel cabin!

It seems a lot less dreamy said like that, haha! During the renovation of
our house, we live in the garden, in an old converted camping chalet where the ceiling and some walls are magnetic :)

What do you think of the quality of our products?

The quality is superb, I have never seen magnets like this before
ends, it's really very nice. In addition, the packaging is thought out with great care. Magnets are designed to last!

How can we encourage a gender-neutral approach to choosing toys for children?

This is a subject that is close to my heart: offering a range of toys to my children, regardless of their gender. This is actually one of the aspects that I immediately liked about Ma Cabane À Rêves.

During my first pregnancy, I listened to episode 36 of the podcast "Les Couilles sur la table" with the author Aurélia Blanc, and I was fascinated to see the extent to which gender stereotypes could influence our education.

Since then, I have never stopped questioning these automatisms and these
social constructions in order to offer a freer childhood to my children.

What new magnet themes would you like to see added to our collection? More for children or adults?

Oh, I would really like to see a collection that is a little more woody, with forest animals, different tree leaves, animal footprints. Something linked to nature that could create beautiful moments of sharing between children and adults after a walk in the forest.
